Meet Angela
Dr. Angela Plowhead began her journey in service as a U.S. Air Force signals intelligence analyst. Her path led her to clinical psychology, where she’s spent decades helping veterans, seniors, and underserved families. Angela owns a private practice, runs a nonprofit focused on veteran suicide prevention, and has held leadership roles in mental health, senior services, and local government.
She’s not a career politician—she’s a problem-solver. Angela is ready to take her experience and bring common sense, compassion, and real-world leadership to the Oregon Senate.
Building a Safer, Smarter, Stronger Oregon
Safer Streets
Oregon families deserve to feel safe in their homes, schools, and communities. Yet crime continues to rise especially amongst our youth while accountability declines.
Angela will fight for:
- Restoring accountability in our justice system by prioritizing prosecution of violent crimes and repeat offenders while reducing recidivism with true prison reforms
- Supporting law enforcement and first responders with the tools and support they need to serve effectively and safely
- Addressing the root causes of crime-including addiction and mental illness-through smart reforms and expanded access to treatment at first contact
- Empowering communities with localized solutions to reduce crime and improve public safety
Angela has spent her career helping people in crisis. She knows prevention matters, but so does enforcement. It's time to restore common-sense safety to our neighborhoods.

Angela believes every child deserves a quality education that prepares them for real life-not politics. She's a champion for parents, teachers, and students.
Angela will fight for:
- Academic excellence and a return to core instruction in math, reading, science, and history
- Career and technical education (CTE) pathways that prepare students for family-wage jobs
- Parental rights and transparency in curriculum, policies, and school decision-making
- Safer schools with trained SROs and behavioral supports where they're truly needed
Angela helped shape local workforce education programs and has testified on behalf of parents and students. She'll work to ensure Oregon classrooms prioritize learning in a safe environment-not agendas.

- Lowering taxes and cutting red tape that burdens families, farmers, and small businesses
- Reducing inflationary pressures by holding the line on government spending
- Promoting workforce development and local industries through pro-growth policies
- Removing barriers to affordable housing and infrastructure investment
A strong economy lifts every Oregonian. Angela will stand up to the policies that are driving families and employers out of state and work to restore opportunity right here at home.
