
Dr. Angela Plowhead Appointed to Marion Water Quality Advisory Committee
Salem, OR – On April 23, 2025, the Marion County Board of Commissioners appointed Angela Plowhead as the Marion Soil and Water Conservation District (MSWCD) representative to the Marion Water Quality Advisory Committee (MWQAC). Her term will run through December 31, 2028.
Angela Plowhead has served as an Associate Director with the MSWCD since September 2022, contributing her expertise as part of the Senior Advisory Council. A landowner and business owner in Marion County, she brings a wealth of experience in soil and water conservation, having attended numerous conferences and trainings in her role with the MSWCD.
In addition to her conservation work, Plowhead operates a full-time behavioral health practice, runs a veteran-focused nonprofit, and actively participates in various committees, boards, and community organizations. Her diverse background and dedication to community service make her a valuable addition to the MWQAC.
The MWQAC, established by the Marion County Board of Commissioners in 2010, consists of six at-large members and five community stakeholder representatives, including members from the MSWCD, local agriculture, land development, and watershed councils.
