Dr. Angela Plowhead began her journey as a U.S. Air Force signals intelligence analyst, laying the foundation for a lifetime of service. She earned an A.A.S. in Applied Science from the Community College of the Air Force, a B.S. in Occupational Education from Wayland Baptist University, and both an M.A. and Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from George Fox University, completing her internship at the Vanderbilt/VA consortium and a postdoctoral residency at the Portland VA. Now a Clinical Psychologist specializing in Geropsychology, Angela has dedicated her career to serving veterans.

For 12 years, she worked at VA Medical Centers, including as a supervisory psychologist and mental health director for home-based primary care. In 2014, she launched her private practice, continuing to provide care for veterans and underserved individuals while also offering expert testimony in court proceedings.

Angela’s commitment extends beyond her profession. She is a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, a Precinct Committee Person, and has served on advisory councils shaping policy and budgets for senior services across multiple counties. She contributed to the Marion County Indigent Guardianship Program and helped develop CTEC’s Behavioral Health track. She also led ministries at her church and served as Vice Chair of the Marion County Soil & Water Conservation District. Additionally, she runs a nonprofit focused on Veteran Suicide Prevention.

Angela’s life reflects a deep commitment to service—supporting veterans, advocating for vulnerable populations, and strengthening her community through leadership and faith.
